El Centro Transfronterizo de Barbadás acogerá el 9 de abril la edición número 34 de la Feira Apícola de Galicia, con ponencias y catas de miel. El evento se desarrollará en línea y contará con la presencia virtual de expertos de Argentina, Francia e Italia. Previamente a la feria apícola, y vinculada con este encuentro, habrá una jornada didáctica en el colegio O Ruxidoiro, donde escolares y profesores conocerán de cerca el proceso de obtención de la miel y sus beneficios. La feria incidirá en la innovación en el proceso productivo y abordará cuestiones como las enfermedades de las Apis mellifera. Para las catas comentadas hay plazas limitadas con un máximo de 40 personas. Durante la presentación de la cita, Victoria Morenza, teniente de alcalde del Concello de Barbadás, destacó que Ourense es una de las provincias gallegas más profesionalizadas en el sector apícola y donde hay más colmenas. Al acto de presentación acudió también Ester Ordóñez, presidenta del Consello Regulador da Indicación Xeográfica Mel de Galicia.
